The Los Angeles based SBA lender has partnered with crowd-source disruptor kiva.org by by matching a dollar for every dollar raised. For Yesenia Monroy, owner of Café 22, she attracted 98 individuals who lent her $5,000 in 24 hours. With the VEDC match Yesenia's $10,000, 39 month, loan will purchase equipment and pay for health department fees. Barragan knows capital to Main Street equals jobs.
