Sample SBA 7(a) Loan Package

Your employees will learn how to complete all the necessary forms to properly fill out an SBA loan package, including:

  • SBA Form 159 (two pages)
  • Filed Articles of Incorporation (make sure the articles show the stamp of the secretary of state.
  • Bylaws (always check the number of directors!)
  • SBA Form 160-Corporate Reso to Borrow Or for a partnership
  • Partnership Agreement
  • SBA Form 160A-Partnership Certification Or for an LLC:
  • LLC Operating Agreement
  • Articles of Organization
  • Fictitious Business Name Statement The next section will include
  • Applicable correspondence such as an eligibility determination letter from SBA, a transmittal letter, if desired (it is not necessary), a franchise approval letter from SBA, etc.
  • SBA Form 4I
  • SBA Form 1624
  • Statement Regarding Lobbying
  • 7a Center Guaranty Application Submission Checklist
  • SBA Form 4
  • Lender's Credit Memo
  • Business and personal credit reports
  • Explanation of derogatory credit, if applicable and if not addressed in the write up

  • SBA Form 912-Statement of Personal History
  • Written clearance of affirmative answers to questions 8 and 9 on the form from the District Office, together with all information about the issue that resulted in the affirmative answer.

  • Legal description (copy of grant deed or page of prelim with legal description)
  • List of personal property collateral (now owned)
  • Invoices or detailed List of personal property to be acquired with loan proceeds

  • Exhibits that are mentioned on page three of the application
  • Bankruptcy Details
  • Lawsuit Details
  • Affiliation with SBA, SCORE, ACE
  • Affiliates or Other Business Interest
  • Construction Estimates/Proposal/Contract

  • If the franchise is on the franchise registry, you will need a Certificate of No Change
