Status of SBA Recovery Programs
Here is the current status of the original SBA stimulus programs enacted
last February.
1) SBA 7(a) 90% Guaranty and Waived Borrower Fees Good through February
2010, and soon to be through December 2010.
2) SBA 504 Waived Borrower Fees and Refinance Options Good through
February 2010, and soon to be through December 2010.
3) SBA 7(a) Secondary Market TALF Provisions Good through March 2010.
Then, set to expire.
4) SBA 504 Secondary Market Provision. Still not implemented. Planned
for January 2010.
5) ARC Lending Program SBA has removed ARC loan statistics from its
website, making it difficult to track its progress. However, the bottom
line is it is very doubtful funding will run out for a program that has
received luke-warm response by lenders. The program is set to expire
September 2010.
